Deposit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Armenia
The Deposit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Armenia is a legal entity not pursuing profit-making purposes. The Fund of the Republic of Armenia was founded in March 2005 by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The activity of the Fund of the Republic of Armenia is regulated by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Guaranteeing the Compensation of Bank Deposits of Natural Persons”.
According to the Law “On Guaranteeing the Compensation of Bank Deposits of Natural Persons”, the Fund of the Republic of Armenia is the guarantor of deposit compensation.
Membership in the deposit guarantee system is mandatory for all banks operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Currently, 18 banks are members of the deposit guarantee system of Armenia.
The management bodies of the Fund of the Republic of Armenia are the Board of Trustees of the Fund of the Republic of Armenia and the Director of the Fund of the Republic of Armenia.
