Expert Group on Legislative Harmonization Holds Meeting in September 2025

On September 17, 18, and 25, 2025, the Expert Group on harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, liquidation, resolution and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the Eurasian Economic Union under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – the Expert Group) held its regular meetings via videoconference.

During the meeting, amendments were made to the 2025 work plan of the Expert Group.

In addition, the Expert Group reviewed and approved sections of the draft document “Coordinated Proposals for the Harmonization of Legislation of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union Regarding the Operation of Deposit Insurance (Guarantee) Systems.” The approved items include:

• Chapter 2. Scope of insurance coverage
• Chapter 3. Timeframe for reimbursement
