Meeting of the Expert Group Held in Dilijan on July 17, 2025

On July 17, 2025, a regular meeting of the Expert Group on harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, liquidation, resolution and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the Eurasian Economic Union under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – the Expert Group), was held in Dilijan, Republic of Armenia. The event was organized by the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Armenia.

During the meeting of the Expert Group, the following issues were discussed:

• Expert Opinion “Risk Management in the Deposit Insurance System and Stress Testing of the Deposit Insurance System, and the Business Continuity Framework of the Deposit Insurer” (initial consideration);
• Expert Opinion “Process Management and Internal Control System in the Deposit Insurance (Guarantee) Organization” (initial consideration);
• Agreed proposals on the harmonization of the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union member states regarding the functioning of household deposit insurance (guarantee) systems.

The event was attended by representatives of deposit insurers and financial regulators of EAEU member states and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
