Meeting of the Expert Group on Harmonization of Legislation Held on June 19, 2025

On June 19, 2025, a meeting of the Expert Group on harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, liquidation, resolution and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the Eurasian Economic Union under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – the Expert Group), was held. The meeting was conducted via videoconference.

During the meeting of the Expert Group:

• updates to the EAEU Information Portal on Deposit Protection were presented, and a working group was formed for its further content development;
• the agenda for the next meeting of the Expert Group on July 17-18, 2025, in Dilijan, Republic of Armenia, was discussed;
• a discussion was held on recommendations regarding the minimum requirements for the amount of insurance coverage in EAEU member states as part of the preparation of the Agreed Proposals on the Harmonization of the Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union member states regarding the functioning of household deposit insurance (guarantee) systems (the Recommendation).
