Meeting of the Expert Group Held in Minsk on May 21-22, 2025

As part of the activities of the Expert Group on harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, liquidation, resolution and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the Eurasian Economic Union under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – the Expert Group), a regular meeting was held on May 21-22, 2025, in Minsk, Republic of Belarus. The event was organized by the Agency of Deposit Compensation of the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting of the Expert Group:

• the Expert Opinion on the parameter “Reimbursement upon Online Application and in a Non-Application Procedure” was approved;
• the revision of the Expert Opinion “Mandate of the Deposit Insurance (Guarantee) Organization” was approved;
• the Agreed Proposals on the Harmonization of the Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union member states regarding the functioning of household deposit insurance (guarantee) systems were discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of deposit insurance (guarantee) organizations and financial regulators of the EAEU member states, as well as representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
