Practical Workshop for Deposit Insurers of the Eurasian Region Held in the Russian Federation on April 22-23, 2025

Representatives of deposit insurers from the countries of the Eurasian region shared their experience in protecting the interests of depositors and bank creditors at a workshop organized by the State Corporation “Deposit Insurance Agency” (DIA) on April 22-23, 2025, in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to Andrey Melnikov, General Director of DIA, such workshops promote an in-depth study of the practical experience of deposit insurers in the Eurasian region.

“The discussed topics of organizing reimbursement payouts, selecting agent banks, and interacting with participants of the deposit insurance system are the most relevant and promising from the perspective of finding solutions to ensure financial stability and protect depositors’ savings in our countries.”

Speakers and participants of the workshop included representatives of deposit insurer organizations from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
