Meeting of the Expert Group on Harmonization of Legislation Held on April 9, 2025

On April 9, 2025, a meeting of the Expert Group on harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, liquidation, resolution and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the Eurasian Economic Union under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – the Expert Group) was held. The meeting was conducted via videoconference.

During the meeting of the Expert Group, a discussion was held on the issues of implementing the harmonization of legislation of the member states in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) of bank deposits, integration processes within the EAEU, and the formation of a common financial market. The participants continued the discussion of the Expert Opinion on the parameter “Reimbursement upon Online Application and in a Non-Application Procedure,” as well as the Agreed Proposals on the Harmonization of the Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union member states regarding the functioning of household deposit insurance (guarantee) systems.
