International Conference and Meeting of the Council of Heads Held in Almaty on October 23, 2024

As part of the international events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the deposit guarantee system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an International Conference and a meeting of the Council of Heads of deposit insurance (guarantee) organizations of the EAEU countries were held on October 23, 2024, in Almaty.

The events were organized by the Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund (KDIF).

The participants of the International Conference discussed the role of deposit insurers in shaping a stable architecture of financial security, as well as the investment management of deposit insurers’ assets.

At the meeting of the Council of Heads, the heads of the deposit insurance (guarantee) organizations of the EAEU countries exchanged information on the situation in the banking sector and insurance (guarantee) systems, discussed issues of harmonizing legislation in the financial markets of the EAEU member states, as well as plans for holding in-person and remote events in 2025.

The events were attended by representatives of deposit insurers of all EAEU member states and the Republic of Uzbekistan, financial regulators of the EAEU member states, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission.
